Group Membership Drive

It’s been a long time since we did this, and it’s back! However, this time, it’s not just up to the money to drive people. The rewards will be as follows:

Kokiri Kids – First 8 people will receive 500 rupees.
Zora Nobles – First 8 people will receive 500 rupees.
Goron Vanguard – First 10 people will receive 750 rupees.

The first group to reach 30 wins! There is no prize for winning other than bragging rights as this is not an official group GAME per se, but still, it is an activity nonetheless.

It is up to the individual group members to recruit people to join their group! Being allowed to join a group is simple: you must simply register for the forums, and post an introduction thread. Then, the next day, you will be eligible to join a group! Be sure to include that you’re joining for the Group Membership Drive in your join request – you will be accepted!

This will end on Friday September 10th. Good luck, and have fun! =]

Gamestop Dates Skyward Sword – for April 1st

Okay, so the date is a bit fishy but it’s likely that it’s either not fully decided yet or a very convenient (and accidental?) set-up for many cruel April-Fools in 2011. The news of Gamestop’s tentative release date came from our affiliate LegendZelda.net, who had this image to share with us:

Looks valid enough to me. I’m personally gonna take the release date with a grain of salt regardless, but it wouldn’t be too far-fetched to expect a March/April release for our upcoming Zelda game. Maybe even May. But that’s me being pessimistic.

Quick Community Recap

Over at Zelda Temple just a week ago, they launched a brand new layout! It looks really fantastic, much better than their last layout (purple + pink anyone?) and it hopefully will be their layout for a good while to come. Good job Yusei, and good luck with everything you’re working on!

Zelda Informer released some kind of music section, something about Twilight Princess. So you should go check it out because it’s dumb for me to explain it here. :P

Zelda Dungeon’s video stream was a huge success, having attracted over 300 viewers during the stream. Good work, Mases, at awing 300 people while you played one of the worst games ever released.

That’s it for now. Comment on the forums!

Zelda Dungeon Live Stream

Live stream of what, though? Ocarina of Time? Wind Waker? Twilight Princess? No, no such impressive and challenging games will be the subject of any video stream going on at Zelda Dungeon right now!

No, they are streaming The Wand of Gamelon, one of the infamous CD-i games. Check it out for yourself!

The Pinnacle of 2010

The final award of the Lozzies is announced today!

The Pinnacle: Lifetime Achievement.

Last year this award was given to the “Best Overall Site of the Year” and it was given to Zelda Wiki. We did that because we felt that Zelda Wiki, comprised of all the best of the major Zelda site in the community, was the pinnacle of achievement and could not be outdone for 2009. In reviewing every site for this award, we found that no one site could do it all; we realized that giving Zelda Wiki the award again would be foolish, even if they deserved it. A number of sites deserved the award this year. So we changed the nature of the award to “Lifetime Achievement”, because there is no site each year that really outdoes all the rest. And really, if you did, it would be a lifetime achievement. So without further ado….
