Texts are Back!

That’s right, the Ancient Hylian Texts have returned and this time, though, we have quite a few to release. In my lack of updating, the team has managed to get three chapters translated. However, this proved to be with some difficulty, as all the chapters are remarkably similar, and as such extra care had to be taken in order to assure that each chapter was, indeed, separately translated and correctly so.

Fireside Chat with Xizor

I think I might make this a slightly regular occurrence, so hopefully you guys enjoy this little “community update” I’ve got in store. I am, of course, modeling the title after President Roosevelt’s “Fireside Chats” from the 1930s, but I don’t think I will be discussing much of the state of affairs here at Legendofzelda.com. Anyhow, to read more, click…”Read More”. >_>

Two New Affiliates

Don’t you just love affiliates? They are just great. Anyhow, today I am proud to announce two new affiliates. The first one, Zelda Temple, is a returning affiliate, and we’re glad to have them back. Also, I’m pleased to welcome Z-ELDA.com as our newest affiliate. They are a German-speaking Zelda fansite, so much like our French affiliates, these are our non-British European Zelda buddies! Be sure to check their sites out. Also, be sure to become a fan on Facebook and a follower on Twitter.

Spirit Tracks Fanart

Well, summer is nearing its end and our fine members of LoZ.com, staff and non-staff alike, are called back to the horrible realities of school and work. Some of you lucky souls may still enjoy the freedom of vacation… or maybe you’re just unemployed. In any case, news! [read the full story]

Ads? On MY Forums?!

Yes, sadly, you are seeing ads on the forums, the same kind that have been on the main site for about two weeks now. Yes, they will be there for at least the next few days. Why? Because we need money to run this site, and money doesn’t grow on trees. Now, the ads being on the forums is a test: if it increases revenue, they stay. If it decreases revenue, they will obviously go. If it makes no difference, then they may go, because who likes ads on the forums?

However, the ads are there to bring people’s products to your attention. Every time you log on or visit LoZ, keep a lookout for which words are underlined that interest you. It’s all about viewership, and we can provide. Help everyone by keeping a sharp eye!

Also, I’ve recently spoken with the head of our translation team, and they say that they’ve got a couple of chapters of the Ancient Hylian Texts ready for release, so tomorrow, expect them! Be sure to become a fan on Facebook, a follower on Twitter, and a member of our forums!

Lozzies Page Created!

Finally, after over a week, and an hour of work, I finally got the Lozzies archived onto one page. Next year, it will be updated to include 2010’s winners. To find this page, go to Interactive and click “The Lozzies” and BOOM! All my hard work is there for your viewing pleasure.

Don’t forget about our newly opened staff positions. Already I got another news updater, so that position is now closed. However, we’re still very much seeking all others, so be sure to apply today! Also, hopefully the recent downtime is a lesson that the forums are not always dependable, so become a fan on Facebook or a follower on Twitter so that, even if the site’s offline, we can still contact you! Why? Because LoZ is just that cool.

30 shades of Link

After all the gloom and sadness caused by our downtime, here’s something nice. A website called The Design Inspiration has collected over 30 different artworks that revolve around The Legend of Zelda series (Read: Link). It features many different representations of Link in many different styles. My personal favourite is this one right here.Oh, silly Linebeck

So, which one’s your favourite? Only one way to tell us.

Back…Finally.

Alright so, here’s the deal. I moved into my new house just over two weeks ago, before which I called the lovely cable/internet company to hook me up with the interwebz. Well they fed me some utter bs about not having my address in the system and they would put it IN the system but it would take a bloody fortnight to do so. Oh and they would “call me” when it was in the system.

New Affiliate

Even with all our troubles, people still want to affiliate with us! Many of you may remember a site known as Zelda Dimension, which closed down a few years ago. Recently, they have come back under a new name, Destination Zelda, and as such, they requested affiliation with us. I check them out and gladly accepted. You should check them out, too!
