Featured Forum Topic: What Are Those Sages?

Our Zelda theory board has been quite active recently, and one of the newest and most popular topics of discussion is a thread discussing just who exactly those Sages from Twilight Princess really are! The opening 671302-sage_large post is thoughtful, noting:

“So, in order to assure that there could be someone left when the sages eventually passed on (Clearly they eventually die, or Rauru would have had a few friends in Ocarina of time), the sages created place holding imitations, and that is what that guy is.”

He goes on to state several reason to support his claims. Is he right? Do you agree or disagree? Several people have already stated their opinions, and you can too. Share you thoughts in the thread! Registration is quick and easy, with a link at the top of this page labeled “Register” for your convenience. Get involved and share your theories today. It can be your forum; see what you can do!

Does Evil Have Limits?

Sometimes when we watch a movie or read a book or play a game, we must stop and ask ourselves: is the villain effective? What are they doing that enhances the plot along? After all, in heroic drama, the ultimate purpose is the climax of the hero’s journey. As a result, we must as: is Ganon just too evil for the series’ own good?

Clonan Rhenche, a forum member here at LoZ, has his own opinion to express on the matter. In his article, he discusses Ganon’s various appearances throughout the series, and their effects on how he is perceived. He weighs in on how evil Ganon is, and how truly effective this is for the series. What is his final verdict? You’ll have to read his article to find out! You can check it out under our “Editorials” section, or by clicking here!

Happy Birthday, Link of Hyrule!

Yes, today our esteemed Founder, Alex Jones, known for the last ten years as Link of Hyrule here, has turned 25 years old! 10 years ago, at age 15, he founded this site, and went up against Nintendo of America before the World Intellectual Property Organization. The last ten years of his life involving LoZ have been a gift to us who enjoy LoZ.com today. We celebrate your birth, Alex, because you created this wonderful site. We also thank your mama, because if it weren’t for her, you wouldn’t have been born, and…well, you know. :P

Be sure to wish Link of Hyrule a very happy 25th birthday over at our forums! Remember, even if you aren’t registered, you can still post in the LoZ Times board. It can be your forum; see what you can do!

Zelda Informer Hacked

According to our affiliate Zelda Informer, they were indeed hacked today. In a statement from Nathan:

“For those of you crazy enough to wake up before noon, you may have noticed that this lovely site was not online. In fact, for most of the time period it was a blank white screen. I wont hide what happened: We were indeed hacked. However, we here at Zelda Informer like to think we know exactly how to handle these situations. It’s really simple honestly… just roll out the big guns.”

Hopefully this is an isolated incident, stemming from the fact that a lot of people are jealous of ZI’s dazzling rise to the top of the pack. What do you think of this hacking incident? Give your opinion over at the forums! Remember, even if you aren’t registered, you can post in the “LoZ Times” board and give your comments on any news post.
