Default Burning Flames of Pathetic Hatred and Anger!

This.... is a thread for stories...

Stories about those moments in a game where one moment you were full of joy...

Yet the next, something happened.... something small....

But as the moments slithered on... it grew...

Before you knew it, logs were being thrown into the fire... until...

You cracked and threw your controller at the wall! Leaving a hole and a memory that you will laugh at once you cool down.

My story occurred in a game known only to a few, and even fewer still play it. It is a game of both casual fun and hardcore competition. This game is called Halo 3.

The event occurred some time ago. So far back in fact, that the date is now unclear to me. However, the memory is still crystal clear.

It was a typical team slayer match and as always, our ranks were at stake.

Two teams of four stared at each other from across the map, ready to prove who was the stronger.

The match was about to begin, but fate it seems, had other plans. The stench of of poor spirited sportsmanship was in the air, and it only took a moment for two of the players on the mighty red team to quit the match.

However, in the spirit of the game, the match went on, now two vs four, and I was among the two.

We fought gallantly!

Despite being outnumbered by our foes we kept them at bay. 49 - 36 was the score.

Only one point more was needed to win, both my partner and I knew the title of victor would soon be ours.

Perhaps it was our over confidence, I do not know, but our skill it seems to a turn for the worst at that point.

From 36 to 40 we watched our enemies score climb, still we could not make our final kill.

It was just a moment of bad luck, or so we thought... But our fears soon became all to real as the score reached 49 - 49.

This was it, the final kill, but our morale had disappeared completely.

I was lucky enough at this point to acquire the sniper rifle, and I though for sure that I would get my kill. But as you can no doubt tell, I was mislead, for my foe also had acquired the same coveted weapon.

I saw him from across the map, and was anxiousness to win. I took my shot, and missed his head by mere centimeters. That was it, the game was lost, as his shot hit its mark.

To lose after such a lead is a memory I will never forget, and I still have the little hole in my wall to remember it by.

Now share your moments of sudden rage caused by a game.

Oh God i think i might have had more than a small hole in my cement wall in the basement after that.

Anyway, I too have such a tragic tale to bestow apon you.

I was playing wind waker for the first time ever. I was so excited to play and hack up enemies in the first Dungeon, but to my dismay, i found that i had to use stealth to get through the Frosaken Fortress. I was not good at doing this. It took me over 5 tries to get past the guards at the gate to the highest level.

I thought that it was finally over so i ran straight into the highest level guard. As I was thrown into the Prison cell, I sat there quietly. I paused, saved, and turned off the game.

And then...I snapped. I took the holder to the game and threw it across my room like a frisbee, ricochetted, and flew and hit my TV, scaring the Crap out of me making me think i broke it.

I will remember that day, as the day that my TV mysteriouslly had a line in the picture

Well, I have a short story but here goes:

I was playing Sonic advance 2 on my GameBoy Advance a bunch of years ago and I was trying to get all the Chaos Emeralds with knuckles... But you need all 7 special rings from the stage in order to enter the special stage at the end of the stage. I was at the fifth ring when the game decided not to let me scale a wall in order to get the f*cking ring. So, I got so pissed that I headbutted the GBA... Thus breaking both the protective screen and the LCD screen on the GBA thus leaving me with just a purple-black splotch in the middle of the screen with the audio still going. I didn't get to play that game until two years later when the Nintendo DS came out. I got the Emerald, but I could no longer finish the Tingle Statue Sidequest on Wind Waker.

Hmm.....I don't tend to throw or hit my video games when I get mad, but I yell. A loooot. Lol.

Well, once, I was playing Super Smash Brothers Melee, and I was doing one of the very last events that I had to complete all 50. I was going against the deadly Pikachu and Pichus, and I was in serious trouble. I lost, and lost, and everytime, I got louder and louder.

It got to the point where my mom's boyfriend actually woke up and told me to stop.

I have many, many, many more, but I cannot currently remember them. That was just one of the more recent ones.

My latest one, a few moments ago.

Just finished a military base in Just Cause 2. Fought and killed all the hundreds of soldiers, destroyed everything, and I was happy. Oh look, in the hanger, an awesome fighter plane I never seen before with big guns and stuff, I'm having that! Take off beautifully, see something in the distance and fly over it. Another base.

I like my plane, I'll not try and destroy it, it might get damaged. Oh, hello person with rocket launcher- OH YOU DID NOT!

Blew up the plane, I died, I spawned halfway across the map.

RAGE!!!!1
