Real Legends Never Die
Well, I bet this was a surprise wasn’t it?
It’s not often that one gets the opportunity to begin anew, and yet here we are once again. It has been my privilage to create something new and fresh for LoZ.com, and I daresay that this has already risen to the top of the list of my favorite things I’ve done for this humble fan site. It’s funny how a thought can turn into an idea, and that idea can turn into a reality, for this layout was born of the simple thought that we needed a change, and a few weeks and countless hours of work later, here we are not at the end, but at a new beginning.
Something you may notice is that we’ve taken most of what other Zelda sites would refer to as “content” down for the time being, as the plan right now is to recreate everything we had to fit with the times, so to speak, as most of LoZ’s content was old, outdated, or even non-existant in some areas. That, soon, will change.
Also you may notice the lack of affiliates as well, which is something I regret to say I have just not figured out where I want to work that in. But rest assured that over the next day or two I will probably figure it out, so Mases, do spare us indignant uproar that might have otherwise occurred. =P
For years we have been known as The Definitive Zelda Site, and, while I wont deny that many of the things we have accomplished over the past decade have raised the bar and encouraged others in the community to go that much further, that too is a phrase that we felt we needed to let go of in light of what year it is and what the significance of our new motto brings. As many of you know this year LoZ.com will celebrate it’s 10th Anniversary. Although it is still a few months away, we nevertheless are preparing for it and the first step is bringing back a phrase that was used in the past.
While some fade over time and are lost forever, with a decade under our belt we are living proof that Real Legends Never Die.
